Client:  Fortune 500 Information Technology Firm

Problem:   The premium monitoring and analysis solution they were using prior to working with us generated visually stunning reports, however the team never had sufficient confidence in the information to share it with senior management.  Each time they drilled into the underlying data, they quickly realized that the metrics and conclusions were based on faulty information – erroneous analysis and categorization were the norm.  This compromised the team's ability to report accurately to the company's leadership and might even drive wrong strategic decisions.  Repeated requests to the provider to correct the analysis were met with promises of ‘adjusting algorithms’ yet these changes did nothing to fix the problem.

Client:  Publicly-Traded Consumer Services Company

Problem:   This extremely fast-growing company was struggling with a patched-together solution that was built up over the years.  This system could no longer handle the requirements of a public company that needed to plan and execute a communications strategy to impact millions of potential customers.  They had multiple log-ins (depending on the type of information or media source), the systems did not share information, and there were no consistently applied metrics.  Likewise, the reporting that came from this patchwork of solutions was just that – a patchwork of unrelated, rudimentary charts that did not properly measure impact, drive action, or help shape strategy. 

Solution and Impact:  PublicRelay was able to consolidate all of the client’s information and analytics into a single, reliable interface.  Accompanied by consistently applied analysis and insight into key influencers, the client finally had at its fingertips the knowledge and capabilities to support the sophistication required for a public company.  Their communications team have now moved into a much more proactive mode, eliminating or reducing more than a third of the ‘crisis’ issues they had previously faced.


Client:  Publicly-Traded Energy Company

Problem:   Due to rapid changes in the energy market over the past five years, this company was faced with a dramatic increase in public scrutiny as well as government oversight, often based on public opinion polls.  They had experimented with a number of solutions over the years but none really met their needs.  They kept finding that automated solutions, while generally inexpensive, failed to do much for their team outside of providing simple Boolean-based results and unreliable sentiment analysis.  In addition, the issues, messages, and campaigns they tracked were complex and did not lend themselves to keyword-centric systems.  Finally, their ability to understand and manage the complex, changing world of influencers in the energy sector was limited by staff constraints.
